Assessments
Assessments are a vital part of the OT process. Assessments help identify your child's strengths and abilities and what skills they needs to learn linked to their age, stage of development and motivation.

OTOT uses holistic child led assessments including a full evaluation of your child’s occupational performance across daily activities.
Your priorities and concerns will guide the assessment process.

The assessment process is thorough and includes:
-
Questionnaires and discussions
-
The most relevant standardised and/or non-standardised play based assessments
-
Clinical observations in context
-
Results of assessments, clinical opinion and recommendations will be provided through verbal feedback, brief written summary or a comprehensive detailed report depending on your preference.

Education and Health Care Plan (EHCP)

OT’s are often included within the statutory provision of EHCP’s. Information gathered from assessments can be used to input into your child's EHCP reports ensuring the EHCP is reflective of all learning and support needs required to access education.
