Following an assessment, an individualised therapy package to meet the needs of your child will be developed.

Step 1: Collaborate goal setting
This involves setting realistic, meaningful and functional outcomes with you as the parent and/or school in line with your priorities, concerns and aspirations for your child.

Step 2: Bespoke Intervention
Intervention is designed to be FUN. Through using purposeful and meaningful play activities, intervention helps develop your child’s skills using a respectful, playful, joyful and engaging approach.
OTOT uses the power of relationships and human connections to develop promote engagement, communication, positive behaviours, and thinking.

Intervention includes the following:

Tailored home and/or school-based interventions using your child’s strengths and interest

Consistent liaison between parents, school staff or outside or other health professionals involved in your child’s care throughout the therapeutic process.

DIR Floortime interventions are offered for children at a targeted and specialist level and further interventions in the home environment. During DIR Floortime sessions, we will follow your child’s lead by using activities that they are highly motivating to entice them into a “shared world”. The DIR Philosophy will then be embedded within daily interactions at a universal level.

Step 3: Evaluation and monitoring
OTOT endeavours to make a difference and lifelong impact to the lives of the children and their families through its intervention. We achieve this through consistent monitoring and evaluation of the effectiveness of intervention.
